Hamburgers

  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 2 tbsp. bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch salt
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 tsp. dried basil

Grind onion with egg in blender. Mix with meat, bread crumbs, salt, basil. Make the meat into hamburger patties. Baste with olive oil, drizzle with salt, pepper and paprika to taste on both sides of patties. Broil for about 5 min, then flip patties and broil another 5 minutes. Serves 4. Serve with hamburger buns toasted in oven.

I think this is too much onion, 1/4 red onion or equivalent white onion.

I would add the salt at the end instead of mixing it into the patties - you get a looser, more hamburger-like texture that way.
