Easy Microwave Macaroni and Cheese
- 8 oz. (250 g) macaroni, cooked and drained
- ¼ c. butter
- 2 tbsp. onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ c. flour
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 2 c. milk
- 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/3 c. bread crumbs
- 1 tsp paprika
In a 4-cup measure, melt butter at high for 40 sec. Add onion and garlic and cook at high 1 min. Stir in flour, mustard, salt, pepper; then gradually add milk. Microwave on high 3 min, stirring once while cooking. Continue cooking on med 3-4 min or until sauce thickens. Stir in Cheddar cheese. Stir sauce into macaroni, in a casserole dish. Top with bread crumbs and paprika. Cook at med-high for 7-9 min.
