- 2 c. butter - - 4 c. flour - - 2 tsp. soda - - 2 c. sugar - - 5 c. blended oatmeal - - 24 oz. chocolate chips - - 2 c. brown sugar - - 1 tsp. salt - - 8 oz. sweet chocolate, grated - - 4 eggs - - 2 tsp. baking powder - - 3 c. chopped nuts - - 2 tsp. vanilla Measure oatmeal and blend to a fine powder. Cream butter in a separate bowl or Cuisinart and add both sugars. Add eggs & vanilla to butter/sugar mixture. Mix with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder & soda. Add chocolate chips, grated chocolate and nuts. Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 min. at 190 C (yes, C, not F as usual). Makes 112 cookies. My mom has never made this so I don’t know if it’s any good, but it’s Clara’s so it probably is.
