Beef Stroganoff
- 1 tbsp. powdered mustard
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 4 – 5 tbsp olive oil
- 4 c. onions, thinly sliced
- 1 lb thinly sliced mushrooms
- 2 lbs sirloin
- 1 c. sour cream
Combine mustard, sugar and about 1 tbsp of water to form thick paste. Heat 2 tbsp oil, drop in onions and mushrooms, reduce heat to low and cook for 20 – 30 mins until soft. Finely sliced meat and add to another skillet with the rest of the oil. Cook until lighly browned. Transfer meat to vegetables. Stir in mustard paste, sour cream. Simmer for 2 – 3 mins until sauce is heated through and serve with noodles or rice.
