Gingerbread
- ½ c. melted butter
- ½ c. sugar
- 1 c. hot water
- 2 ½ c. all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon & ginger
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. grated orange rind
- ½ c. light molasses
- ½ c. honey
- 1 already beaten egg (beat in a separate bowl with a fork)
Melt butter. Beat in salt and egg. Sift dry ingredients and add. Combine molasses, honey and water and add. Bake about 1 hr. at 350°.
