Kelly’s Sweet and Sour Ribs -L

  • 1/3 c honey
  • ¾ c tomato sauce (ketchup)
  • 3 tbsp corn starch
  • ¾ tsp dry mustard
  • ¼ c soy sauce
  • ¾ tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp br sugar (only if using tomato sauce)
  • ¾ tsp ginger
  • 1 ½ c boiling water

Bake 4 lb ribs in 300 for 45 min. Pour off fat. Pour sauce over top. Bake another 45 min. Turn once.

It’s a good idea to mix the dry ingredients first, to make sure there are no clumps of dry mustard in the sauce.

There is something wrong with this recipe. It should come out brown but it comes out red, and tastes funny.

Checked it out, it appears that the use of store-bought spaghetti sauce is the only problem. Use plain tomato sauce only.
