Doris Cameron’s Green Tomato Pickle
- 3 lb green tomatoes
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. salt
- 1 tsp. celery seeds
- 5 c. cold water
- 2 tsp prepared mustard
- ½ lb onions
- ¼ tsp mace
- 2 c. vinegar
- ½ tsp. tumeric
Soak tomatoes in water and salt overnight. Pack into hot jars, adding boiling vinegar mixture. Seal and process.
