Minoli’s Doughnuts (makes 12 – 18)
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 ½ tbsp. butter
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 egg, well beaten with a fork
- 1/8 tsp. clover
- ½ c. milk
- 1/16 tsp. mace
- 2 c. flour
- ½ tsp. salt
Cream butter; add sugar. Add egg & milk; mix well. Sift dry ingredients and mix in. Roll out to ½” thickness on slightly floured board. Cut with doughnut cutter. Deep fry in oil at 375° until brown. Drain on paper towels.
