Caesar Salad
<ul>
<li>2 heads Romaine</li>
<li>6 slices French bread</li>
<li>2 tbsp. oil</li>
<li>2 cloves garlic</li>
</ul>
<p>Mix butter, oil, garlic. Soak bread in mixture, cut into croutons and bake at 350° F. for 15 min. (or, buy croutons)</p>
<h1>Dressing (or, use <a href="/recipe/21">Nicole’s Salad Dressing</a>)</h1>
<p>[Tom: Do not use this dressing. It has no anchovies and doesn't explain how to create an emulsion.]</p>

<li>2/3 c. oil</li>
<li>¼ c. lemon juice</li>
<li>1 egg coddled 10 sec. in boiling water</li>
<li>½ tsp. salt</li>
</ul>
<p>Cut Romaine lettuce, add salt & pepper, toss w. croutons, parmesan & dressing. Optional: anchovies, bacon bits.</p>
