Mom’s Bread-L
- 6 c warm water

- 1/2 c oil

- 1/4 tsp ginger

- 3/4 c pdr milk

- 1/3 c sugar or honey

- 5 tsp salt

- 2 c wh wh flour

- 1 c each wheat germ, ground flax,

- 2 tbsp yeast, oats, sunflower seeds etc.

Heat house. Mix water through yeast. Let sit 20-30 minutes. Add oil through sunflower seeds. Mix then add 4 cups whole wheat flour. Knead in 6 cups white flour. Keep adding flour until it feels sticky but not too sticky – about three more cups.

Let rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours. Punch down, cut into 4 or 5 lumps, shape into loaves and place in greased bread pans. Cover let rise 2.5 hours. Pre-heat oven to 400. Reduce heat to 325. Bake for fourty minutes. Take out of pans so bottoms don’t get soggy.
