Wine Reduction Sauce
- ~2 c. or 1/2 bottle red wine
- 1/2 c. shallots or white onions
- a little garlic if you want
- 1 can beef bouillon
- 3/4 tsp thyme
Put oil/butter in pan. Fry onions, cook until soft. Add garlic. Add wine and beef bouillon. Add thyme. Boil for about 20 mins or until there is about a cup of sauce left (half the original).
If it is not thick enough
Put a couple tsp of corn starch in a bowl; add 1-2 tbsp of wine to make paste or some of the wine reduction sauce. Turn down sauce until not boiling; add cornstarch paste. Boil until thick.
Serve with hamburgers or buffalo burgers.
